In most tertiary institutions, departmental and faculty dues are being collected manually. While this approach seems to be the traditional way and has been known to be generally accepted, it has some disadvantages. Some of which are:
- It consumes the time of the executives (which sometimes results to them jeopardizing classes to attend to students)
- Stress of keeping records of students and tracking of receipt since it's manual.
- Unavailability of executives to initialize payments for students resulting in delay in course registration.
- Stress of taking records of students with paper and pen and having to deal with handling cash.
WHAT MY TEAM CAME UP WITH
MyDues (formerly named sanwo) is a web application being built to ease and digitize the process of making departmental and faculty dues for tertiary institutions students.
FEATURES
1. Authentication including Reset Password and Change Password.
2. Profile page and updating profile
3. Make Payment for a due based on the selected session and level with Paystack.
4. Receipt Generation and Printing
5. Receipt Verification (doesn't require you to be signed in)
